The parent company of Avant Money, a consumer-finance company located in Carrick on Shannon, Co Leitrim, has said its Irish mortgage book had grown by 268pc to €1.6bn.
Glencar Construction, the UK-based builder co-founded by Kerryman Eddie McGillycuddy, is targeting further projects here for its €570m order pipeline for this year, after securing a contract to build a 280,000sq ft (26,013 sq m) distribution centre in Dublin for a large retailer.
The meter is running on the cost of fixing Celtic Tiger era building defects. Estimates for the cost to the taxpayer of fixing faulty apartments and repairing or rebuilding mica affected homes is now €5.2bn.
